A quick note to let you all know that we have a 'sister blog' up and running. All the used books, CDs, DVDs etc currently on sale at our cafe will be listed in this new blog, so that you will have the ease of browsing through them online at your own time:

If you see something you like and wish to purchase, you can either buy them online via Car Boot Loot or you can put them on reserve and pick the item up yourself from the cafe the next time you come around.

Hi everyone,

The cafe crew would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great time saying goodbye to 2008, and welcoming in 2009.

Some announcements on what's new at the cafe...

We're now selling the heavenly, yummilicious moist chocolate cupcakes courtesy of our pals at ChocShock!. If you've never tried one, then now is the time to drop by and grab a bite... it's heaven in a cup, honest.
We're in the midst of planning a small music event within the next couple of months... so keep checking in for an update!

Rainy Days Offer

It's been a rainy few weeks lately, hasn't it? KL rains almost every day in the late afternoon... making us dread that drive home from the office, roads sure to be jam-packed with cars filled with other commuters eager to end another dreary day.

Well, to try and make your day a bit less gloomy and provide some warmth and comfort to our customers, we're offering 50% off on refills of hot drinks on rainy days!

Trimontel's wonderful wordy directions:
- Get on the LDP, heading towards Kepong
- You'll pass TV3, One Utama, Tesco, Ikano on left
- Stick left after passing Ikano. Take second left turn-off into Damansara Perdana (watch out for signages. First turn-off is into Penchala Link so don't take that one)
- You're on Jln PJU 8/1. Stay on road and keep going straight, past Citibank and Scotiabank on right. Past 7-Eleven on left.
- Look out for an eatery called Bianco on left, which is your cue to find parking. Hoxe's Cafe is immediately after Bianco (slightly set back from the road, corner lot)

Secondhand Wonderland: Giving pre-loved items a new home!

WHAT? We're having a JUNKYARD SALE!! Specifically for CDs, DVDs, VHS, cassettes, books, comics, manga and other similar items. Also for music/movie/book-related memorabilia such as posters and buttons etc.

And by specific, we mean NO used pots & pans, NO old clothes, NO antique photoframes, NO garden gnomes, NO self-made bookstand you made during Kemahiran Hidup class back in secondary school...

WHEN? August 16, 2008. Saturday. 2:00pm - 7:00 pm. You know you wanna be there.

WHERE? At the cafe of course! In case you still don't know where we're located, HERE'S A MAP.

WHY? Because everyone loves junkyard sales! Think of all the awesome treasures you could find. One person's unwanted NKOTB album is another person's trip back down memory lane.

HOW? It's simple - you bring your stuff, stick your price then chill & hangout at our cafe whilst other people browse through your items. At the same time you can go dig through others' stuff too! You might just find something to take home.
Note: Since we are people who love our planet Earth and wish to avoid unnecessary wastage, we will not be providing plastic bags for purchases. Please bring your own reusable shopping bags/boxes to carry goods home :)

Operation Name and Hours

Hey everyone!

For those of you looking for a laid-back, comfortable place to hang out and enjoy a good meal or a cup of coffee at, then our cafe is the best place for you :)

An environment not unlike your very own living/dining room, delicious meals at affordable prices, wi-fi facilities, friendly staff, and good music... drop by and experience it for yourself!

To avoid confusion though, we're currently operating under the name of "Hoxe's Bookstore and Cafe" until the name change to Nineteen Notes is finalized.

Our operation hours are:
Tues - Thurs: 11am - 11pm (kitchen closes 10.30pm)
Fri - Sat : 12pm - 12am (kitchen closes 11.00pm)
Sun : 12pm - 11pm (kitchen closes 10.30pm)
CLOSED MONDAYS
